A Real Estate Team You Can Depend On
Having grown up as cottagers on the shores of Lake Winnipeg, the love of the area prompted a move from the “big city” to building their own homes in the Interlake. After 35+ years in the area, both Laurence and Dave certainly feel comfortable calling it “home”. Their local knowledge is astounding! Whether it be local history, lake levels, reputable tradespeople, to the best places to fish, the best cheeseburger, or which sand traps to avoid when playing at any of our outstanding neighbourhood golf courses.
Their honest and energetic approach may be overwhelming at first, but soon you will discover they really do have your best interests at heart. Laurence and Dave live by the mantra “I would rather you NOT buy and be happy, than buy and NOT be happy”. Integrity and reputation is everything, especially when you work and live in a tight-knit community. The guys are very proud of the fact that their referral business is through the roof.

DAVE HUMNISKI
SALES REPRESENTATIVE
Dave has been involved in the real estate industry for over 20 years and has been a licensed Realtor since 2006. Since becoming licensed, Dave has received multiple Sales Achievement Awards from Winnipeg Realtors, including Silver. He has lived in the Interlake for 20 years, but has been a cottager in the area all of his life. Past work experience includes business ownership and several management positions in the hospitality / restaurant industry. Dave’s genuine interest in real estate is what drives him, and why he always has his finger on the pulse of the current housing market. He has a passion for people and loves helping others achieve their goals and dreams. After all, his tagline is “Dare to Dream”! Along with his teenage daughter, Indiana Mae and life partner, Kim Malchuk (another displaced Winnipeg native) he enjoys golfing, fishing, visiting their Willow Island cabin and creating/sharing culinary delights with family and friends. Dave’s latest community endeavor is an exciting one. He is the treasurer of the Gimli Falcons 4 on 4 Pond Hockey Committee. This committee will be bringing teams from all over Manitoba (and beyond) to play good-old fashioned 4 on 4 hockey on the best outdoor rink…the majestic and beautiful Lake Winnipeg. The committee’s mandate is to raise funds that will help support school athletic programs. Dave, along with his other committee members, believes that Gimli will one day be known as the “Pond Hockey Capital of the Prairies”.

Curling is BACK!!!
The 40th edition of the Scotties Tournaments of Hearts will be taking place at the Markin MacPhail Centre in Calgary, AB. Sixteen women’s team across the country will take to the ice on February 19-28, 2021 with Team Canada, Gimli’s own Kerri Einarson coming back to defend her title. With Covid changing the landscape of all professional sports no fans are allowed in the stands. However, if Kerri listens closely after making spectacular shots as she has done many, many times before, we are sure that she will hear all of her family and friends roaring and cheering her on from Gimli, Manitoba.
Good luck Team Canada!
